FINALLY!!! Episode 108!!!

Hello readers!  I’m so terribly sorry that it’s taken me so long to finish episode 108, but the holidays are an awful time for a teacher and singer.  So many gigs, so little time!  But I’ve finally finished Ron’s Podcast for Outlander Episode 108, “Both Sides Now”.  Fair warning–  It is NOT SPOILER FREE!!!  It even contains Season 2 spoilers, so if you HAVE NOT read Dragonfly in Amber, please heed the spoiler warnings I put in there for you!!!

Transcription of the Official Outlander Podcast for Episode 107, The Wedding

This one took me a wee bit longer because Terry and Ron talked over each other a great deal.  Well, that and my grades were due last week and I had to take time to do them!  I couldn’t help myself once or twice, adding my own little note responding to what Terry and Ron are saying.  I may or may not go back and do that later on, I’m still kind of torn about it.  I think that there was the most kerfuffle over The Wedding episode (that and Episode 108), and the Podcast certainly addresses some of it!  (Some of it sort of incorrectly, though, which is why my fingers were itching to type more “in the margins, as it were!)  Anyway…  I’m trying to leave my own personal feelings out of the initial transcriptions but sometimes I JUST CAN’T HELP IT, dang it!!  What’s an opinionated girl who can’t keep her mouth shut to do??    As suggested on my last post, I’ve tried to ‘edit’ their ummms and stutters a bit more, but not too much.  I still want it to be as true a transcription as possible, and I’ve just cleaned some things up for clarity’s sake.

Transcription of the Offical Podcast for Outlander Episode 106, “The Garrison Commander”

Whew!  This week was a tough one!  Mostly because there was no Terry-  Originally I had thought that not having Terry on the Podcast this week would make things a bit easier.  Sometimes Ron and Terry talk over each other, or cut each other off, so formatting that in a way that makes it clear to the reader what’s going on can be a bit of a struggle for me-  I want people reading to be able to understand that a person is trailing off and another is picking up or that they’re outright cutting each other off or talking over one another.  Not to mention the fact that they do talk over one another and that can make it difficult for me because I have to listen over and over and over before I can catch what they’re actually saying (sometimes I don’t know who to focus on!).  But this particular podcast was tough because since Terry wasn’t there, Ron talked… and talked fast!  He filled a lot more space with a lot more wordy ramblings.  So I feel like I now have carpal tunnel.  But it’s cool because there’s some juicy insights in here about how Ron feels about the character of Black Jack.  And my favorite line from the podcasts thus far-  which I won’t tell you because I wonder if you’ve got the same one!  What has your favorite part of the podcasts been??

Episode 105 Podcast

Hello, readers!  A little late, but I had a busy weekend!  This episode I had to CONSTANTLY refrain from adding in my own opinion about Ron & Terry banter!  It’s a good one!!!

Without further ado…  Episode 105!!

Outlander Podcast Transcription, Episode 104

Do I make good on my promises or what?  When I last posted I mentioned I would try to crank out these podcast transcriptions a bit quicker for those of you who just enjoy reading them or can’t listen for one reason or another-  In fact, even if I HAVE listened to this podcast simultaneously with the episode, you might enjoy reading along anyway because this particular podcast was full of Ron-Terry banter that I had to listen to over and over and over to make sure that I got right because quite often they were speaking to each other in what was little more than a whisper.  I was only unsuccessful in ONE case–  I must’ve listened 100 times and couldn’t figure out what one of them was saying where I had to post [unintelligible].  This podcast really made me have to hold back my commentary!  It was SO tempting to comment on what they were saying that it made me think that perhaps next time I will have to start making gifs and drawing on pics myself to just comment on what Ron and Terry say to each other as they banter back and forth.  I find myself speaking to them as I transcribe the podcast more and more.  Does that make me crazy???  😉  After I’m finished putting all the podcasts up, I just might go back and comment, placing my thoughts in there.  What do you think, ten blog readers?

Outlander Podcasts.

So my fangirl friend Christine (@rogerwakefield) mentioned she had a deaf friend who was disappointed she couldn’t enjoy the podcasts.  To me, that is pretty tragic, and not at all fair.  So the FIRST thing I will be doing on this blog is transcribing all the Podcasts, because they should be accessible to all!  Please feel free to share a link to this site for anyone who would prefer reading their podcast with the show as opposed to listening!

Without futher ado, “Episode 102: Castle Leoch”
